Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at the Magic Kingdom is scheduled for an extended refurbishment later this year. The closure will be in place between 4th April and 16th June 2016. It is expected that the attraction may recieve the 'Disneyland makeover' with special effects in the interior lift.
