Disney has today announced that new tiered ticketing will be coming to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World beginning this week. This will bring significant changes to those planning to use single-day tickets.
Beginning tomorrow, 28th February 2016, single day tickets will be split into three tiers (value, regular and peak), and each tier will be priced differently. Disney will provide 8-11 months notice of the tier for each date.
'Value' tiered 1 day tickets will be priced at $105 per day at the Magic Kingdom, and $97 at all other parks.
'Regular' tiered 1 day tickets will be priced at $110 per day at the Magic Kingdom, and $102 at all other parks.
'Peak' tiered 1 day tickets will be priced at $124 per day at the Magic Kingdom, and $114 at all other parks.
The current pricing for single day tickets is $105 at Magic Kingdom, so Disney is increasing its prices by around $20 on Peak days! Single day tickets already purchased are still valid at the current prices until they expire.
This change affects single-day tickets only at the moment, and not multi-day passes. Expect this to come at a later date. Annual passes are also unaffected at this time.
