In a surprising post on the Disney Parks Blog today, it was announced that the Rivers of Light show, which was set to debut on 22nd April 2016, will not open as planned. More information about the new opening date will not be announced until mid to late May 2016. The Disney Parks Blog said that they needed to give the Imagineering team "more time to bring these innovative experiences to life in a way we know will exceed our guests’ expectations.".
It is thought that technical issues have occurred with some show elements, as the Cast Member previews were cancelled yesterday, leading to speculation about issues which may have arisen.
