Was 'Disney After Hours' a complete flop?!

At $150, many guests have been left wondering whether the Disney After Hours event is actually worth it. The first of these evening events happened just a few days ago - to many mixed reviews on social media!

The event ticket, which is completely separate to standard theme park admission, allows entry from 7pm through to 2am. The event does not require any other tickets or theme park admission - all you need is the After Hours ticket. The event officially begins at 11pm, so you get a few hours in the park with standard day guests too - but it does give you the chance to see Wishes and the Main Street Electrical Parade!

Although day guests sometime take a while to leave - it was noted that most rides were a walk-on by 11:30, including Magic Kingdom's most popular ride - the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!!! Plenty of attractions are open throughout the night - check out the list tweeted below by Attractions Magazine!

It is unknown how many guests Disney has limited this event to, but some suspect it is around 3000 guests, while others suggest this figure may be nearer 1000! I doubt we'll ever know this information, but considering the park can handle over 50,000 guests at capacity, 3000 isn't very many! According to Attractions Magazine, some guests at the last event were not paying guests, but instead travel agents and DVC members who were given free tickets at the last minute... Check out the video below that shows just how empty Tomorrowland was - bliss!

One of the other benefits of attending this event is the free ice cream and bottled drinks which were available from snack carts around the park - this included Mickey Premium Bars, and all other ice creams available to purchase throughout the day.

It looked empty at the park based on the photos and videos we have seen from the event - prompting many to label this event as unsuccessful and a bit of a flop! There are no special characters, no parades, no fireworks and no special souvineers for the event. See below for a few of the Twitter reviews from this event, and make you own mind up about whether the $149 is actually worth it!

Let us know in the comments whether you think this event is worth its $149 price tag - would you attend? Why is it so appealing to you?
