Disney announced today that the Main Street Electrical Parade will be leaving the Magic Kingdom in October this year. The parades final performance will be on October 9 2016. The parade returned to WDW in 2010 for a limited engagement (supposedly 2 months), but has been performing nightly ever since. The parade will be shipped over to Disneyland for a 'limited time' (we're taking that very lightly - we know Disney's definition of limited time!!) beginning in early 2017. Paint the Night will perform over the holidays at Disneyland, but it is widely expected that the newest nighttime parade, which was created for Disneyland's 60th celebrations, will begin performances at Walt Disney World in 2017.
