Set to a high-energy soundtrack from the 1946 Disney film 'Song of the South', Splash Mountain provides fun for the more adventurous among us! Splash Mountain is one of the parks' major e-ticket attractions, and climaxes at a 52ft drop down the front of the mountain! Float along a colorful bayou - past delightful singing critters - to a thrilling 5 storey drop which is sure to soak everyone on board! The ride tells the story of Brer Rabbit, who leaves the Briar Patch to look for his laughing place. But, Brer Fox and Brer Bear are out to catch him. Luckily enough, Brer Rabbit escapes his enemies and returns back to the Briar Patch safe and sound! At the time of construction, Splash Mountain was one of the most expensive attractions every created, costing nearly $75 million!

The ride features 68 Audio Animatronics, and has the largest animated prop in any Disney park around the world - the Mississippi ShowBoat, which forms part of the Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah finale scene, is 36ft long and 22ft high!
