Guests using MagicBands, and whom are staying on-property at a Disney resort, will now be able to benefit from 'direct-to-room' check in. Guests will no-longer need to check in at the front desk, nor see a cast member in the lobby of the hotel. The guests room number is provided through a text and/or email prior to arrival. MagicBands will already be programmed to operate as the guest's room key. Guests must complete online check-in prior to arrival in order to benefit from the 'direct-to-room' system. This new service is currently being rolled out, and will be available in all resort hotels by mid-March. Some hotels are already rolled into this new system, as listed below...
