Upgraded WiFi coming to WDW Parks

Over the next few weeks, Disney will be rolling out an improved and upgraded WiFi network across the parks, to meet the demands of guests using the network for My Disney Experience, and for their own personal use.

Disney will be removing support of 802.11b band, which is used in older devices. This allows for a newer and faster system to be installed. Access to the internet in the parks has become vital for vacation planning, as many guests rely on the My Disney Experience app and website.

AT&T will also be rolling out an improved network, for those who cannot connect to the Disney WiFi.

The new WiFi will be tested over the coming weeks, with roll-out expected mid-late April 2015.
