Firefighters from Reedy Creek were called to Disney's Animal Kingdom yesterday to help 12 guest who were stuck on a ride. It was later confirmed by Bo Jones, a member of Reedy Creek, that 12 guests were stuck on the Kali River Rapids attraction at the park, following a breakdown of the ride. None of the passengers were injured by the ride malfunction - firefighters were just called as Disney Cast Members could not safely reach the stuck raft. RC firefighters recieved the call at 1:21pm, and all guests were evacuated from the ride by 2pm. In a statement, Jones said "No one was in jeopardy nor in a dangerous situation". The guests got stuck after "some sort of malfunction on the ride," Jones added, but it's not clear what exactly caused the malfunction. Disney Cast Members performed safety tests on the popular attraction, before resetting and reopening the attraction.
