Yesterday, 31st May 2015, Disney presented its "Messtival Of Fantasy" Parade at the Magic Kingdom. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong! The parade kicked off its standard route from Frontierland at 3pm with the music out of sync with the floats appearing from backstage. This music issue continued its way along the whole parade route - and even had Peter Pan dancing to Under the Sea!!!
Half way through Frontierland, the hot air balloon which adorns Mickey and Minnie's float began to deflate, and within a couple of minutes was hanging off the edge of their podium - blocking the view of the popular characters for over half of the guests.
Throughout the parade, Malificent's dragon was not breathing fire and was not moving - its head was stuck in the same position throughout the entire parade route. As the parade neared a close, the dragon float broke down in front of the Main Street Fire Station, near to the backstage gates. This backed up the remaining 3 floats behind it, including the deflated Mickey balloon!
Hats (or Mickey Ear's?!) off to the Cast Members and performers in this Festival of Fantasy Parade who continued professionally and tried to keep the magic alive! :)

It was certainly not a good day for Disney, especially with the major technical problems with some Hollywood Studios attractions, and the extended closure of Magic Kingdom's Splash Mountain.
