What is classified as a 'selfie stick'?!?!

Beginning tomorrow, 30th June 2015, 'selfie sticks' will be banned from all Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort parks. It has been unclear about what items this blanked ban covers, and whether tripod and monopod items will be banned. This has prompted Disney today announcing a list of what is and isn't banned, although they have confirmed that many tripods and monopods will be allowed into the parks - providing they meet the requirements.

- Large tripods are not allowed in the parks. Tripods which can be folded and that fit into a standard backpack or bag are allowed though.

- Extendable monopods for use with cameras are allowed in the park, again providing they fit into a reasonably sized backpack.

- GoPro body and head harnesses are allowed, and can be used on attractions.

- Short, non-extendable GoPro branded grips and handles are allowed.

- Grip and Shoot handles are also allowed in the parks.

- GoPro 3 way extending handles are not allowed though.

- Any selfie sticks are banned.

Rules on tripod and monopod usage has always been as above, but extending 'selfie' sticks for phones of GoPro's are now banned across all parks, including water parks.
