D23 Unveils more about Pandora: The Land of Avatar!

The D23 Expo has given the public a first peak at the Avatar expansion coming to Animal Kingdom in 2017. Previously guests have only seen concept art, but D23 has unveiled a scale model of the new expansion, and it looks amazing!
The model is at 1/4" scale and shows some of the details we can expect to see at Pandora. The model even shows the Mess Hall Restaurant, and the floating mountains which will disguise the show building. The land, which is scheduled to open in 2017, will take guests on a 'Soarin' type ride where they will have the chance to fly on a Banshee. The land will also include a river cruise through the bioluminescent forestsof Pandora. Check out the video below from The DIS of the Avatar related content at D23.
