Two new expansions were announced last week for Disney's Hollywood Studios - Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land. Although some details about size and rides were announced, there was no talk about where the two new lands, which together make over 25 acres, would be sitated in the park. Below is our thoughts about where new areas will be added. These are not confirmed, and are only our predictions/thoughts. Star Wars Land is going to be 14 acres, making it the largest themed land expansion in Disney history. We predict that Indiana Jones Stund Spectacular will close, and the expansion will head further back beyond the current park boundaries, and into the Cast Member parking lot.
Toy Story Land is to be 11 acres in size, and will include the current Toy Story Mania attraction. We expect this new land to reach and sweep behind the old Animation Courtyard, and behind the Little Mermaid and Disney Junior show buildings. Expanding back into the side of the park would leave much of the former Backlot Tour area for further future expansion.
